13 May WordPress Attack
Recently there was a WordPress attack called “botnet” that used a list of the most commonly used passwords to try and hack into the default “admin” accounts that most people use for their WordPress BLOG or website. By simply not using the username “admin”, you can steer clear of a whole lot of trouble. I am recommending to all my clients that they create a new user account with administrator priviledges and use something other than “admin” for the username. Then delete the current “admin” account. Better safe than sorry! If you are interested in reading more about this, click here.
